Optimus

The Woodland Medical practice is one of seven local medical practices that comprise the OPTIMUS group of practices in the Lincoln area.

The seven practices in Lincoln and North Hykeham are:-

Birchwood Medical Practice

Boultham Park Medical Practice

City Medical Practice

Newark Road Surgery

Richmond Medical Practice

Swallowbeck Surgery

Woodland Medical Practice.

The aims and objectives include, amongst others, steps to develop;

• A consortium based Patient Liaison Group in order to engage with its patients to work together in shaping future services in general practice
• Communication links with patients about services being delivered and issues relating to the delivery and use of them; this may or may not be directed by local or national policy

OPTIMUS also believes that "the most important relationship is between the patient and the practice team...in developing the practice liaison group, we want to expand this conversation onto a wider level-on a continuing basis about our services, ensuring that the patients collective view are represented."

The intention is that OPTIMUS Patient Liaison Group of practices will meet four times per year and during that time develop ways to meet and listen to the views of the patients in all seven practices.
