The key roles of the PPG are as follows:
- To encourage a spirt of self help and support amongst patients and to improve their heath and wellbeing
- To improve communications between practice staff and the practice patients within the Birchwood and Doddington Park areas by, amongst others, the production of a regular news letter and the frequent updating of the Practice Web-site.
- To promote a patient perspective and enable patients to access and make the best of the available health care.
- To aim to provide resource and services for the good of the Practice Patients and Staff which are not provided by Statutory Services.
- To attend the Optimus Patient Liaison group meetings and to;
- Act as a link between the PPG and the OPTIMUS Group.
- Provide feedback on actual initiatives of, or proposals from, the OPTIMUS Group.
